The Qualification and Responsibility of RAs

1. RA's Qualification

  • Every institution/ organization has only one RA.
  • RA candidate must be the institution/ organization employee.
  • RA candidate must provide Work ID and Official ID.
  • RA candidate must agree to the responsibilities of being an RA and maintain the institution/ organization's activities

2. RA's responsibilities

  • Help ASGCCA to verify the end entities' identity; the end user should agree to ASGCCA CP/CPS and RA must meet with end user face to face.
  • Assist end entities with ASGCCA service requests and issues.
  • When end user has a renew certificate request, RA should help ASGCCA reconfirm the end entities' identity and current employment status when requested.
  • When RA leaves its organization, the RA should inform ASGCCA administrator
  • Archive all activity records and send it to ASGCCA each year. RA Record Form

3. Help to maintain within RA's organization.

  • Report any unusual certificate activities to ASGCCA
  • Inform ASGCCA of any changes to the contact and personal information of the end entities and the RA.
  • Request for revocation when any end entities leaves the RA's organization

4. The event of User face to face interview

Make sure the user prepares the following documents before the interview

  1. User Application form from web site
  2. Work ID
  3. Official ID: International or National ID

Inform users

  1. Protect your private key associated with certificate from loss or unauthorized use.
    * Use proper file permissions or keep on offline storage (USB flash)
    * Select a pass phrase with minimum of 12 characters
    * Do not share key or pass phrase
  2. Notify RA or CA immediately in event of compromise
  3. Life time of certificate is one year

Verify user

  1. Check photo work and official recognized ID
    * Is the ID still valid?
    * Are photo and name correct ?
    * Does the information of application form match Official ID ?
  2. Check if all information is properly filled out in the application form
  3. Record RA Form

Assist users with certificate registration

  1. After fax the application form to CA , please go through the step 2 to create a CSR(Certificate Signing Request) file
  2. Please use the same machine to create a CSR file because the private key will store the browser when you submit your request
